Our Wedding

Our story begins with a renewed acquaintance that developed into mutual appreciation, attraction, and adoration. After running into each other in San Antonio, we began to catch up. Our brief conversation turned into hours of mutual connection around topics of family, faith, heartache, and hope. Those initial hours of renewed connection turned into days and weeks of great friendship and appreciation. It was an appreciation of relatability and the opportunity for redemption for both of us. Though the attraction was obvious for both of us it was not initially acknowledged or verbalized. The more time we spent talking on the phone, over coffee, and dinner, the attraction was undeniable. Eventually we had to agree that it was more than appreciation and attraction, but we had developed strong feelings for each other....feelings of adoration. It was love. Though we were both fearful at first, there came a peace about our relationship and we saw the hand of God in it all. We worshipped the Lord together in church. We prayed together over meals and for our kids, our relationship, and about our future. Not wanting to waste any more time, we agreed that we had found each other by the grace of God and our stories would be joined together for the rest of our lives. Danny asked Sunny to marry him....and she said Yes! We are excited about this next chapter in our journey together, and we are even more excited for you to share it with us. See you on the beach!

Scotty is not only Danny's First Cousin, but more like his big brother. They grew up together playing basketball,  riding three wheelers, singing in church, getting in trouble,  getting in fights (with each other and for each other) and trying not to die!

Webo is Danny's childhood best friend. The two of them have reconnected and it has been a delight to see that Webo has given his life to Jesus and they are both walking with Him today. They are looking forward to many years of fellowship

Since this is a beach wedding, come looking sharp, but comfortable. You'll want to be able to kick off your shoes as you walk through the sand and then put on some dancing shoes for later

This is a great property that is undergoing some renovations. It used to be a Sheraton (when Danny was growing up here) and then it closed for awhile after Hurricane Florence. Danny grew up surfing in front of this hotel so it's a special place to him. 

The block of rooms are for our out of town guests and wedding party members so if you would like to book just call the hotel. If you book online early, you might get a cheaper rate so try online first. The closer we get to Summer, the rates will go up and ours will be cheaper.

Travel

Fort Macon State Park in Carteret County, NC, features a restored pre-Civil War fort, daily tours, cannon demonstrations, and a beach for swimming, fishing, and hiking trails through salt marshes and dunes, making it a popular destination for history and nature lovers. It was North Carolina's first functioning state park, opening in 1936, and is located on the eastern end of Bogue Banks near Atlantic Beach.
